Winter moon
This morning the full moon seemed to be moving through mottled cloud in the west. Of course, the clouds were what was moving, not the moon. But the gray light on the lawn and the silhouettes of the big spruce trees felt appropriate to my mood.
By the time I’d gotten out of the shower, the atmospheric show was over, and the overcast was solid.
So I’ll console myself with this old picture of an evening crescent moon over the same trees to the west. Different phase, different time of day, different weather, different season. Same moon.
